Volunteering Opportunities
We are seeking volunteers for our studio recitals.
Available positions are
Stage managers, Program distributors, Student accompanists and Reception helpers.

iSCORE Website
All CMS students/parents will be able to access to their iSCORE website upon registration.
The first bilingual web-based portfolio designed specifically for music instruction and available free of charge
iSCORE supports music-making with:
A home page where students can create their own profiles and goals
An embedded recorder, so students can record and save their music-making
An annotation feature that allows users to make comments directly on video or audio materials
The ability to link to websites, upload documents, and create work directly in the portfolio
Links to composition and sequencing tools
Interactive boxes that allow for personalized plans and reflections
Communication is easy with iSCORE:
E-mail and chat with students and teachers with the internal messaging system
Plan and schedule lessons, rehearsals, and concerts through embedded web-based calendar
Share music creations and view the work of others
Distribute documents, recordings, and other multi-media through a centralized filing cabinet
To help you use iSCORE, you have access to:
A two-hour, introductory iSCORE live or virtual workshop
A web-based PREZI, describing the research, development, and key features of iSCORE
A User Guide and sample iSCORE lesson plans
Research articles, in French and English, on self-regulated learning, practice and motivation, and the arts
Technical and pedagogical through a phone help desk and e-mail support
CMS Awards
1. One medal per each qualified student only.
2. CMS awards are available for current Clavier Music Studio students only.
3. Only the qualified students will be awarded.
4. Beginner level students will be excluded.
5. Maximum top 3 students will be chosen in each award category. (Exception-Top Theory Student Award)
Only one student will be chosen in each level. (For example, one student from intermediate level, one student from advanced level)
6. Winners will be announced at Winter Studio Recital.
<Three Awards available>
a. Top Student Overall (Junior: RCM level 1-4) (Intermediate: RCM level 5-7), (Advanced: RCM level 8-ARCT) - Achieved high standings in practical exams, auditions, competitions and/or recitals
-Maximum top 3 students will be chosen
b. Top Theory Student –At least First Class Honors Standing (80-89%) in RCM or Conservatory Canada theory/harmony/history exams
-Maximum top 3 students will be chosen
c. Best Recital Performer (Junior: RCM level 1-4) (Intermediate: RCM level 5-7), (Advanced: RCM level 8-ARCT)-Based on your performances through studio recitals, Music Outreach and other performance opportunities given throughout the year.
-Maximum top 3 students will be chosen
CMS Essay Competition
Write an essay or a paragraph on one of the topics given each year.
Winner(s) will be awarded with Certificate and scholarship/gift card(s)
Choose one of the following topics
Junior (Any one under Grade 6)
: a. Why do you like piano/music?
b. What's your musical goal?
Senior (Any one over Grade 6)
: a. What's your musical goal?
b. Beauty of music
c. Beauty of piano
d. Why do you like piano/ music?
Prize:
1. $50/$25 gift card will also be awarded to each winner.
2. A Certificate will be awarded to each winner.
Competition Rules:
1. Total 2 winners will be selected.
2. Write an essay or paragraph using one of the topics given.
3. Complete work must be sent by email to clavier.piano@gmail.com
4. Selected works will be posted on studio website at www.clavierpiano.com
5. Winners will be announced in Klavier No. 6 (June issue)
